Texas A&M San Antonio Director of Athletics Darnell Smith joins NAIA.ticker’s Kristen Eargle on Small College Conversations presented by CollegeSports.jobs. Since starting as A&M-San Antonio's inaugural athletic director in 2019, Smith has spearheaded the successful introduction of men's and women's soccer, softball, and men's golf and added men's and women's basketball for the 2024-25 season. As the Red River Athletic Conference Athletic Director of the Year, Smith discusses his vision for the Jaguars that spans the next 5 to even 20 plus years to build the infrastructure of an athletics department from the ground up.
